Anneliese is 7 today. Sometimes we can't believe we've had her that long and sometimes we can't believe that there was a time we didn't have her. We can't imagine life without little Annie. She is a beautiful girl with a big heart. She has had a great year being six-- made new friends (including a BFF), became a goal scoring soccer player, graduated from kinder, danced in a recital without her father and a last minute sub., started another new school, made more new friends, started jazz along with Tap and Ballet, became a card carrying member of the YMCA, took a yoga class, read Harry Potter (with help from her mom), wrote her first Haiku poem for the reflections contest, developed a love for live theater (Wicked, Shakespeare Festival and High School Musical) traveled outside of Texas to Nevada, Utah, Idaho and California, overcame her six-year fear of the Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland ride, began piano lessons, lost her two front teeth, grew in her two front teeth, learned to swim underwater, started running with her folks, developed a love for jeans over skirts, rode a real pony, went inside the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, held a real live puppy (Bear), developed an affection for animals, & started reading the Book of Mormon on her own. Annie is doing great with her reading and writing. I love to read her little stories and discover cute little notes scattered about the house. She is a loving and thoughtful sister to her two younger sisters. She is always looking out for them and helping them with their problems. Anneliese is a lot of fun and likes to be silly and play games, but she also can be very serious about important things. I love to hear her insights about spiritual matters and her ponderous questions from scripture study. We are so blessed to have Anneliese in our lives!
