Does this place look familiar?This is a very historic building, with parts of it dating back to 1096. It was a defense structure, built to protect England from those intruding Scots and has been involved in several power struggles. It's now the second largest inhabited castle in England. (The first is Windsor.) The most important tidbit is the role it played in Harry Potter films as Hogwarts, though embellished to be so.
Flight Training
She's coming in for a landing.
Looks like the lessons were successful.
A most unfortunate event.
The terror kept raging.
Oh look, the fair maidens survived.
And then they had to stop, drop and roll.

We enjoyed the castle and the gardens at Alnwick.
We're standing on top of Hadrian's Wall. Did this really separate the barbarians from the Romans? It didn't seem as imposing as we thought it would be. If the little munchkins can scale the wall, how defensive could it be?
