Frontier Homestead State Park Museum in Cedar City is a fun place to check out the history of Iron County. Their collection of pioneer artifacts includes horse-drawn vehicles which were in use between 1850 and 1920.
They had the perfect sized jail cell for little munchkins.
Our favorite attraction was the little school house. We studied the deseret alphabet developed in the mid 19th century to help immigrants better learn to read and write English. It's said to be more phonetically accurate, though never widely adopted and used because of prohibitive costs.
