New Tradition

I love family traditions. Here is a new one of ours. On the eve of her first day of school, Annie was given her own "You are special today" plate from Waechtersbach, Germany. She got to choose our dinner meal and then eat it off this red plate. Her choice was Pesto Chicken and Bowties. The recipe is from Campbells and I've given it out a lot, but here it is:
Pesto Chicken and Bowties
Ingredients:
3 cups uncooked bow tie pasta 2 tbsp. butter or margarine1 lb. skinless, boneless chicken breast, cubed1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)1/2 cup pesto sauce 1/2 cup milk
Directions:
Cook pasta according to pkg. directions. Drain.
Meanwhile, heat butter in skillet. Add chicken and cook until browned, stirring often.
Add soup, pesto sauce and milk. Bring to a boil. Cook over low heat 5 min. or until done. Stir in drained pasta and heat through.

Fun idea! My parents have had the "red plate" tradition for the last several years (they mostly use it on birthdays)! I want to continue the tradition with my own family!

We had the same plate growing up and used it for birthdays as well!
